# Intercom

> Connect Intercom to sync conversations and tickets

Connect Intercom to Realm to make conversations and tickets searchable. Navigate to **Settings** > **Data sources** and click **Connect** on Intercom, or click **Reconnect** if already connected.

## Connecting Intercom

Connect Intercom using an API key. On the data source page, enter your Intercom access token and click **Submit**.

To get an access token, create an app in the [Intercom Developer Hub](https://app.intercom.com/a/developer-signup) and copy the access token.

## What gets synced

| Support conversations | Yes    |

Realm excludes replies authored by Intercom bots from searchable conversation content.

## Permissions

<Note>
  All synced Intercom data is visible to users with an Intercom account in your organization.
</Note>

You can override this by switching to "Everyone in this organization" on the data source settings page, which makes all synced Intercom data visible to all Realm users.

  The initial sync can take from hours to multiple days depending on the volume of conversations and tickets.
