# Queues and alerts

> Split relevant tenders by market and choose which new tenders alert you

## Queues

A queue is a saved view of **Relevant tenders**, such as one market. It filters by country, CPV code, relevance, and notice type. Under **To review**, it never shows tenders outside your [evaluation criteria](https://docs.withrealm.com/tenders/evaluation.md).

To use queues, click the menu above the tender list. The menu shows your current view, such as **Followed** or **All relevant tenders**.

* **New queue** creates a queue. You follow every queue you create.
* **Browse queues** lists all queues, so you can follow them.
* **All followed queues** shows tenders from every queue you follow.

Who can do what:

* Everyone in your organization can see, follow, and create queues.
* A queue's creator can edit or delete it.
* Owners, Admins, and custom roles with **Manage organization settings** can edit or delete any queue and manage its followers.

## Alerts

Alerts tell you about new relevant tenders. Each person sets up their own, and they are off by default.

To set them up, go to **Settings** > **My Account** > **Preferences** > **Notifications** > **Tender alerts**.

Choose which new tenders alert you:

* **All relevant tenders:** Every new tender at or above **Minimum relevance**.
* **Tenders in my queues:** Every new tender in a queue you follow. A queue that allows every relevance level alerts only on **Medium** and higher.

Under **How often**, choose when alerts are sent. You get nothing when there are no new tenders.

* **Right away:** Each new tender as it is found.
* **Daily:** One digest at 08:00 UTC each weekday.
* **Weekly:** One digest at 08:00 UTC each Monday.

Under **Where**, add **Email** or **Slack**. Slack needs your organization's Slack connection. Alerts always show under **Notifications** in the sidebar.

To test your setup, click the bell icon in the **Tender Discovery** page header, then **Send me a test**.

### Tenders that don't alert you

Realm alerts you once per tender, when it first labels that tender. Changing settings, queues, or criteria sends nothing for tenders already in Realm.

You get no alert for a tender that:

* Is labeled **Low**
* Is already **Tracked** or **Not relevant**
* Already has a project
* Closed before your digest went out
