Overview

Realm can send your notifications to a chat with the Realm app in Microsoft Teams. You get the same notifications, at the same times, as you would in Slack: assignments, mentions, deadline reminders, briefings, and tender alerts.
Microsoft Teams notifications are being rolled out gradually. If you don’t see the Teams setting under Preferences > Notifications, it isn’t available for your organization yet.

Connect Microsoft Teams

  1. In Realm, go to Preferences > Notifications.
  2. Under Microsoft Teams notifications, click Connect Microsoft Teams.
  3. Sign in with the Microsoft account you use in Teams. Realm skips this step if you have already connected Teams transcripts under Personal integrations, or connected Teams before.
  4. Teams opens the Realm app. Click Add.
Realm confirms in Teams that you’re connected. From then on, your notifications arrive in that chat. If you add the Realm app in Teams first, and someone in your organization has connected Teams before, Realm sends you a message there with a Connect Realm account button. It takes you to the same connect step as your notification preferences: sign in to Realm if asked, and sign in with the Microsoft account you use in Teams if Realm doesn’t know it yet. Realm then confirms in Teams that you’re connected. If your Teams admin adds the Realm app for everyone, people who sign in to Realm with Microsoft are connected automatically.

Choose what you receive

Under Microsoft Teams notifications, choose how much RFP activity Realm sends to Teams: All, Important only, Mentions & assignments, or Off. This works the same way as the Slack and email settings. To get tender alerts in Teams, select Teams under Tender alerts > Where.

Disconnect

Go to Preferences > Notifications and click Disconnect under Microsoft Teams notifications. Realm also forgets the Microsoft account you connected with, so adding the app again does not reconnect you. You can also remove the Realm app in Teams. If you remove the Realm app, or Teams stops accepting messages from it, Realm sends the notification by email instead, as long as your email settings allow it. Add the app again to resume Teams notifications.

If you can’t add the app

Your organization’s Teams admin may need to allow the Realm app first. Ask them to allow it in the Teams admin center, or to add it for you.
