The Realm app for Microsoft Teams sends your Realm notifications to a chat in Teams. This page describes the data the app uses. The Application Privacy Policy of Realm Technologies Oy covers all processing in Realm, including this app.

Data the app uses

When you connect, Realm asks Microsoft to confirm which Microsoft account you use. Realm may also read your organization’s Teams app list once, to open the right copy of the Realm app. Realm does not read your Teams messages, files or meetings through this app.

Who processes the data

  • Realm processes the notification content on behalf of your organization, under your organization’s agreement with Realm. Realm processes your account data as described in the Application Privacy Policy.
  • Microsoft delivers the notifications through the Bot Framework and stores them in Teams, under your organization’s agreement with Microsoft.

Your choices

  • Choose which notifications reach Teams under Preferences > Notifications in Realm.
  • Click Disconnect there to stop Teams notifications. Realm then forgets the Microsoft account you connected with.
  • Remove the Realm app in Teams at any time.
