A team is a group of people in your organization, such as Security or Legal. Assign RFP questions to a team when any of its members could answer them. Members then take the questions they will answer themselves. Teams here are groups of Realm users. They are not related to Microsoft Teams.

Manage teams

Navigate to Settings > Organization settings and scroll to the Teams section. You need the Manage organization settings permission, which the Owner and Admin roles have.
  • Create a team: Click New team and give it a name, for example Security. Names must be unique within your organization, ignoring capitalization, and can be up to 80 characters. Add people once the team is created.
  • Add or remove members: Click a team to show its members. Click Add people, search, and click a person to add them. Click a checked person to remove them, or use the × next to their name. A person can belong to several teams.
  • Rename or delete a team: Use the menu next to the team and choose Rename or Delete team.
Deleting a team unassigns every question assigned to it, and Realm tells you how many questions that affects before you confirm. Its members stay in the organization. Removing someone from a team doesn’t change any question: questions stay with the team, and anything that person already took stays theirs. People who leave the organization are dropped from their teams. A team with no members can’t be assigned.

Use teams in RFPs

Once a team exists, you can:
  • Assign questions to it from the Responder column. See Assigning work.
  • Mention it with @ in Assign with prompt, for example “assign all security questions to @Security”.
  • Mention it in your organization’s assignment policy, so Realm suggests the team for matching questions. See Intelligent assignment.
Teams are assigned as responders only. Reviewers are always individual people.
